USA_san_gennaro_vendors_NYEveryone is Italian when the Feast of San Gennaro rolls around every September. This year from Sept. 15 to 25, Little Italy comes to life with dozens of restaurants and although it has become a tourist destination, try and look past that and come for the food, fun and colorful characters.

There’s a lot to happening that’s new this year, but in particular for the first time, the feast will hold a Meatball Eating Contest on Saturday, Sept. 24, hosted by Tony Danza at Ferrara’s Café, according to a spokesperson for the feast.
